“The beauty of your dream is that it is uniquely yours.”
As a woman many times you can tend to the dreams of your family and friends, but in the mix you neglect your own dreams. Many times the cares of this world can begin to weigh you down and you begin to lose the spark. Sometimes mothers can become defined by taking care of their children and lose their own passions. Becoming a mother is one of the greatest gifts, and as a mother we want to become a role model and not lost in the role. Whether you are single or a mother, maybe you have wanted to learn to dance, become a photographer or travel, don’t give up. The beauty of your dream is that it is uniquely yours. It doesn’t matter if several other people you know are doing the same thing, we each have a gift that has been placed inside of us and we need to share it with the world. This is the reason that we have been created. You may have just newly discovered your dream, or maybe it is a dream that has been there for years, there is no better time to take action than TODAY!
Pursuing your dream is going to create a passion inside of you and a zeal for living life. Marcia Weider says, “Without our dreams, all we have is reality.” She is the author of Making Your Dreams Come True. One very interesting point in her book is that “People with dreams live longer, healthier lives.” Start today by making an intention of what you would like to change. Write down something that you can work on now. In the Bible it says people perish for a lack of vision and knowledge. Write your vision down and make it plain.
Starting today, make a promise to yourself that realizing your goal will be something at the top of your list of things to do. Here are some questions you can ask yourself and write down in your journal. What is something that you would do for FREE? If you could be wildly successful at one thing what would that be? If you could have any job and not worry about risk what job would you want? What inspires you?
When you take the time to sit down and think about the legacy you want to leave and what you want to change I encourage you to talk to someone who is already doing what you would like to be doing. If you cannot personally talk with them find a mentor through reading books, audio books or coaching. I always tell my kids there are no excuses to not learn because the library is available for everyone to use for FREE!
Remember as a woman you are so strong, bold, and beautiful. Take some time for yourself to work on you, and see if what you are doing lines up with the vision and passion you have for life! It only takes a spark to start a fire and don’t forget to keep on wildly dreaming!
